Buying maps with a Purchase Order

Purchase orders can be placed through our website by adding items to your basket in the normal way then, once you have registered, or logged into the site, you can select Purchase Order rather than paying by Google Checkout as the payment method.

If you are an educational establishment (school, university or college) or you are a Duke of Edinburgh's Award group leader, or a youth group leader such as cadets, Scouts or Guides, or represent a not for profit organisation you can use our Purchase Order system to place an order.

  • Teacher (or finance officer within a school or LEA representing a school)

  • Local Authority
  • Mountain Centre
  • Outdoor Pursuits Organisation (eg Peak Pursuits, Adventure Works etc)
  • Mountaineering Clubs (NB the order must be places by a Secretary or Chairman on behalf of members)
  • Public or Private limited companies who work in the outdoors eg Surveying companies, mining companies or management training companies

If you think you belong to an organisation which is not on this list but you think it ought to be please contact us and we will consider adding your category to the list.

Purchase Orders are not accepted from individuals at this time.

Apply for a Credit Account

Use the below form to register for a credit account with Map and Compass. Once you have registered your details with us, you will then be able to purchase items from Map and Compass using a Purchase Order rather than card payment. If you have any queries, please contact us.

Credit terms for buying maps with a Purchase Order

With your first purchase you will be asked to make payment within 7 days. Subsequent orders can fit into your normal payment run timescales (up to 30 days from date of invoice). In the unlikely event that we have to partially ship an order your payment terms will be 30 days from us sending the last part of the order to you (as long as this is not your first purchase, where 7 days credit will be available).

You can add items to your basket before or after completing this sign up process.
